Greylag goose (Anser anser) is a migrant bird, spending the winter in southern Europe and Eurasia, as far south as Thailand and southern China. In the summer it migrates northwards, breeding around the coasts of Iceland, Scandinavia and northern Eurasia. It feeds on grasses, grains and roots, growing to about 80 centimetres in length.
