Common dwarf mongoose (Helogale parvula) foraging for food. Dwarf mongoose inhabit savannah, woodlands and mountain scrub across central and southern Africa. They have a body length of 18-26 centimetres, and are considerably smaller than other mongooses, which are around 40cm in length. They hunt small vertebrates and insects during the day.
